G3 Frequently Asked Questions
Who publishes G3 Guides?
G3 Guides ("G3") is a brand name of A3 Creative Group, LLC, ("A3"),
a national leader in education communications. A3 has created career guidance
guides for AchieveTexas, the Texas career cluster system, and for Alabama SUCCESS,
the brand name for communications about Alabama’s career cluster system.
In addition, A3 has published career information for Career and Technical Education
(CTE) systems in Pennsylvania and Colorado. Learn more about A3

How can the G3 Guides help students
and counselors?
G3’s mission is to enhance the quality and quantity of career guidance
provided to high school, community college, and college students. The G3 STEM
Guide, for example, is packed with authoritative and timely Science, Technology,
Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) career and education information, presented
in a reader-friendly format featuring colorful graphics, photographs, and resources.
For students, the G3 STEM Guide is an invaluable resource providing a realistic
view of what it takes to succeed after high school, including: how much they
need to earn to live independently, what different STEM careers pay, what skills
and knowledge are needed to prepare for various STEM jobs and college programs,
and what employers look for when hiring. For counselors, G3 Guides are powerful
tools to use with students and parents when charting four-year high school
plans, choosing courses, applying to colleges, and discussing future plans.
You can review a PDF of
the STEM Guide by clicking here.
How do G3 Guides compare to other
career guides?
G3 Guides are unique in that they are designed to enhance education and career
guidance. Other publishers focus on creating curricula or a narrow career area,
such as engineering. By comparison, G3 Guides are broad enough to appeal to
students of all ability levels and backgrounds. While they can be used as part
of a curriculum, the guides' primary purpose is to be a source of information
and inspiration for discussions among students, parents, and counselors. G3
has created an Educator's Guide to using
the G3 STEM booklet. Click here to see
it.
Is the information included in
G3 Guides relevant for students in every state?
Yes. G3’s team of experienced CTE writers and researchers created a guide
designed to motivate and inspire in every state and school district. While
some examples included in the book are from specific states, students and counselors
are encouraged to explore similar options available in their areas. In addition,
the State-By-State snapshots featured in the guide highlight a noteworthy initiatives from each state and the District of Columbia.
Can the G3 Guides be used to help
promote non-traditional careers?
Yes. The Guides include compelling profiles of a diverse group of young men
and women who are succeeding in challenging programs.
In addition, there is information aimed at breaking stereotypes of typical
male or female careers, for example, encouraing young men to consider nursing
in Health Science or young women to enter STEM. We are very proud of the diversity in our Guides.
How does G3 determine its pricing?
G3 Guide's cover price of $6.99 is comparable to consumer magazines of similar
quality sold on newsstands, however, discounts of 10 to 50 percent are available
to those ordering through our website, via fax (865-381-0632), or by e-mail
(orders@G3Guides.com). Unlike consumer
publications, however, A3 does not accept advertising, except as provided
for by its Underwriter's
Program. This advertising-free content is ideal for distribution by schools,
foundations, and other educational organizations.
Can Perkins, Tech Prep, or workforce
development funding be used to purchase G3 Guides?
Yes. Our clients have paid for similar guides using Perkins, Tech Prep, career-cluster-system,
or other guidance or CTE funds. These materials also can be considered curricular
if they are to be used as part of career development lesson plans. Give us
a call at 865-385-6635 (voice mail) to discuss potential funding options.
Do G3 Guides contain any paid content?
No, except as provided for by the Underwriter's
Program. The G3 Guides may include information about past and present clients
of A3 Creative Group, the parent company of G3 Guides, but A3 receives no compensation
for presenting the programs. The Underwriter's

to sponsor the free distribution of copies to selected schools, districts,
or states as well as a small space on the cover for logos and space on the
